크로스데이팅
수목연륜연대학의 기본 원리. 수목 연륜의 폭이 넓고 좁은 양상을, 인접 수목들간 또는 다른 지역 수목들간에 비교함으로서 위연륜과 실연륜을 찾아내어 알고 있는 기준연대를 이용하여 정확한 생육연대를 각 나이테에 부여함을 뜻함.
